Phonak Infinio Ultra 70

The Infinio 70 has the following features in addition to those available in the Infinio Ultra 50:

Automatic Programmes

• Music – Music has a very different sound profile to speech, and many users find that traditional hearing aid settings can lead to distortion, tinniness or other sound quality degradation. The Infinio 70 can automatically detect when you are listening to music (with no speech present) and adjust it’s sound profile to offer maximum enjoyment.

Manual Programmes

• Speech in Loud Noise -This Phonak model is able to automatically differentiate between mild-moderate levels of noise and louder levels of noise. In particularly loud situations the hearing aid will provide more aggressive processing of background noise to give you a better chance of hearing the speech in front of you.
• Speech in 360° – Traditionally hearing aids will attempt to maximise speech understanding by focussing the microphones in front of you, reducing unnecessary sounds from the side or behind. In some situations though, where people are likely to be frequently speaking to you from the side or behind, this can be unhelpful. The Speech in 360° programme allows the hearing aids to automatically detect the location of speech and focus on it whichever direction it comes from.

Sound Clarity

• 20 Channels – Hearing aids have multiple channels, allowing different pitches of sound to be amplified by differing amounts. The higher the number of channels the more accurately the hearing aid can be programmed to your individual hearing levels, and the less likely it is that the hearing aid will under-amplify or over-amplify some sounds. This model has 4 more channels than the Infinio 50.

Background Noise Removal

• Dynamic Noise Cancellation – This feature allows the hearing aids to offer an additional signal-to-noise reduction (i.e. the difference in volume between speech and background noise) of up to 4 dB, offering significant real-world benefits in noisy environments such as restaurants  or open plan offices
• StereoZoom 2.0 – This feature allows the hearing aid to narrow its field of fucs to a narrow area directly in front of you, removing more noise from around you to help you hear the speech you want more clearly.

Other Features

• Tap Control – With a compatible mobile phone this feature allows you to answer calls, pause or resume media and activate voice assistants like Siri or Google Assistant with a tap of your hearing aid.
