GN ReSound BTE / M&RIE Microphone Filters

Changing the microphone filters on your GN ReSound hearing aids on a regular basis keeps the microphones clean and clear to allow them to capture as much sound as possible. While the most common culprit for a deterioration to the sound from your hearing aids is that your wax filters need changing, the microphones can also get clogged up over time with dust, moisture or hair products. Adding in regular replacement of the microphone filters to your maintenance routine means that you can rest assured that your hearing aids are always working to the best of their ability.

How Often Should I Replace My Microphone Filters?

Many people change their microphone filters every 3 months to make sure their hearing aids stay working well. Some people may need to change them more often than this if they work in dusty or humid environments, or if they use hair products such as gel or hairspray. Regardless of your normal maintenence routine, if the sound quality from your hearing aids reduces we would always recommend replacing the wax filter, microphone filters and dome.
